Healthy (Believe it or Not) Hot Chocolate

While Spring may have arrived, and with it a myriad of beautiful plants and colours, there are still a few chilly nights to look forward to thanks to this incredibly good, and surprisingly healthy hot chocolate recipe.

Most hot chocolate powders you find in stores are loaded with sugar and other unhealthy ingredients, never mind the fact that you never really get to experience the wonderful rich chocolaty taste that you find in authentic chocolate. Here’s how to make your very own cup of superfood hot chocolate on those chilly September evenings.

Ingredients
1/2 cup almond milk + 1/2 cup water, warmed on the stove top

1 tbs raw cacao powder
1/2 tbs raw maca powder
1/2 tbs turmeric
1/2 tbs maple syrup
3 pinches of cinnamon
A pinch of cayenne
A pinch of sea salt

Preparation
Simply add all of the ingredients into a blender, blend it together well and enjoy!
